A symbol can be anything that represents an idea, process, or physical entity. Symbols are used to communicate meaning. Roman numerals, for example, are symbols for numbers, while names and social security numbers are symbols representing individuals. A heart symbolizes love, a red cross health, etc. In Exploring Life’s Mysteries, we will come across many symbols, and will do our best to interpret their meaning.
