Hi Art,

Yes, if your son takes an Autosomal DNA test, it will trace back your and your wife’s ethnicity 4-5 generations. I’d recommend a DNA Ancestry test from either Ancestry.com, FamilyTreeDNA or 23andMe. Good luck with your search!
